NS Basic/CE 6.0 Released!

Now supports Windows Mobile 5.0 devices

October 5, 2005 -- NS BASIC Corporation announced today the immediate availability of NS Basic/CE 6.0. Major new features include support for Windows Mobile 5 devices, a desktop device emulator, code completion and much more.

NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows you to create applications on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows CE devices. A unique feature of the development tool is that it can also be used to develop on the device itself.

"We've worked hard to make NS Basic/CE easy to use." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "The new release improves this. Being able use the Microsoft Device Emulator to test on the desktop and the improved editing features will make NS Basic/CE development faster than ever."

The new release also delivers numerous user interface improvements. A utility for converting eMbedded Visual Basic apps (eVB) to NS Basic/CE has been updated, and new samples and documentation has been added.

Using NS Basic/CE 6.0, existing NS Basic/CE applications will run on Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC devices without change, allowing developers to make immediate use of the new devices.

Upgrades are available to existing users starting at $49.95. Customers who purchased NS Basic/CE after August 15, 2005 will receive the upgrade for no charge.
