Adds new features and usability improvements.

May 25, 2006 -- NS BASIC Corporation announced today the immediate availability of NS Basic/CE 6.5. Major new features include support for Code Modules and direct calls to Windows API functions.

NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows the creation of applications on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows CE devices, including Windows Mobile and Pocket PC. "The new release adds significant functionality and ease of use." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "Being able to call API functions directly from NS Basic programs adds a tremendous amount of power. Code Modules allow better organization and code sharing, especially in large projects."

The release also delivers numerous user interface improvements. A utility for converting eMbedded Visual Basic apps (eVB) to NS Basic/CE has been updated, and new samples and documentation have been added. There are also over 30 other improvements in the new release.

Upgrades are available at no charge to current users of NS Basic/CE 6. Discounted upgrades are available to users of older versions.

NS BASIC Corporation also announced that its current sale pricing will continue after the release. New customers can save $50.00 on NS Basic/CE for a limited time.
