"The stack shows many techniques that people have asked for on the NewtCard bulletin board:
- How to do a stack overview
- How to navigate a stack in some order
- How to show and hide information (in the Help card)
- How to use application-specific stack and card properties.
It also has some useful techniques: sorting frames, creating dynamic arrays, testing for slots, setting a bookmark, and building card to card links."
And a further comment from the author: "The stack shows how wonderfully powerful NewtCard and Newton can be with very little scripting; it is also small enough to not bog down anyone's Newton."
Judges's Comments: "We were amazed at some of the things this stack did - way beyond anything we had contemplated. First rate technical work here, and a great reference piece for other NewtCard developers. Just when we'd thought we'd seen it all, we discovered the stack adjusts itself to run both in portrait or landscape orientation."
"Bibliography" is available for downloading from the NS BASIC ftp site http://www.nsbasic.com/newton/support/downloads.html. If you don't already have NewtCard, you can download the NewtPlay.sit file to run the stack.
