The NewtCard FTP Library Feb 20, 1999 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This directory contains the latest versions of NS BASIC products for licenced users of NewtCard. If you do not currently have NewtCard, there's not much point in downloading anything here. Files are available in Stuffit (.SIT) format, binhex encoded. You'll need an unstuffing utility from Aladdin to unstuff the file - get it at http://www.aladdinsys.com/products/products.html. Important! Stuffit Expander for Windows Users: Under Cross-platform Options, set both options to "Never". If these are not set correctly, packages will give the error message "does not appear to be a valid package". The following files are available: 1. NC102.sit Application Software (Requires NewtCard) Approx 160K - Aug 9, 1998 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an updater that loads over your orginal copy of NewtCard. Download it to your Newton if your current version is 1.00. If you already have 1.02, there's no need to download it. It corrects bugs and adds new features. Check the announcement on the NewtCard BBS for a list of changes that it makes. For a complete list of all updates to NewtCard since its release, see the document ChngeLog.txt. 2. NewtPlay.sit (1.1) Application Software (freely distributable) Approx 121K Note: Updated March 25, 1998 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the NewCard Player. With it installed, anybody can play NewtCard stacks. Requires MessagePad 2x00 or eMate. This module is freely distributable. It does not allow the creation of new stacks or changes to existing ones - it's only a player. 3. NewtDemo.sit NewtCard Player & NewtCard Tour Approx 197K Note: Updated Feb 3, 1998 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download this if you don't have NewtCard, but would like to see what it looks like. This is a stack (and the NewtCard Player) that gives you a tour of NewtCard. The tour is implemented in NewtCard itself, and demonstrates many of the capabil- ities. The NewtCard Tour comes as a self extracting package which needs to be expanded on the Newton before you can run the Player. Requires MessagePad 2x00 or eMate, with at least 360K free space. 4. NewDocs.txt NewtCard Handbook Change Log --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This text document contains the new documentation and corrections to the NewtCard Handbook. 5.
