October 17, 2011 -- NS BASIC Corporation has announced full support for iOS 5 in NSB/AppStudio 1.3.0. New features, such as additional input types and Web Workers are available immediately. The new release also provides full integration with PhoneGap Build, a cloud service which creates native apps for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, WebOS and soon Windows Phone.
"PhoneGap is a nice way to create native apps", said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "But it is not itself a development environment. NSB/AppStudio is probably the easiest to use tool out there to make PhoneGap ready projects. The combination is a complete solution."
Once you have tested your app in the browser, with a single click you can either deploy it to a device as a web app or compile it into a native app using PhoneGap Build.
NSB/AppStudio includes over 150 statements and functions. Support is provided for SQLite, geolocation, graphics and more. A full set of standard screen input and output objects and dialog boxes are included. A 150 page handbook, tutorials and lots of sample code are included.
The environment features a Design Screen, which allows you to graphically lay out your objects, set their properties and write code that responds to and controls them.
The product is available immediately for download from the company's website. Normally priced at $149.95 USD, it is available at an introductory price of $99.95.
