Adds support for Windows Vista and Windows Embedded CE 6.0
December 14, 2006 -- NS BASIC Corporation announced today the immediate availability of NS Basic/CE 7.0. Major new features include support for Windows Vista, Windows Embedded CE 6.0, SQLite 3 and a number of language extensions.
NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows apps to be written on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows CE devices. A unique feature of the NS Basic/CE is that it can also be used to develop on the device itself.
"We've worked hard to make NS Basic/CE easy to use." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "The new release makes sure that our users will continue to be able to use the latest operating systems from Microsoft. In addition, NS Basic/CE now has support for Classes and Regular Expressions, making it more powerful than ever."
The new release also delivers numerous user interface improvements, new controls, and support for SQLite 3. Documentation has been updated and improved.
Using NS Basic/CE 7.0, existing NS Basic/CE applications will run on Windows Embedded CE 6.0 devices without change, allowing developers to make immediate use of the new devices.
Upgrades are available to existing users starting at $49.95. Customers who purchased NS Basic/CE after November 1, 2006 will receive the upgrade for no charge.
