This Palm PDA application takes ResQ's order entry, delivery, invoicing and printing capabilities on a synchronized road tour for a Coffee Delivery Company. It works together with Open Solutions' enterprise software ResQ as follows.

1. We built a XML parser for transmitting and sending data between Expresso and ResQ;
2. Truck drivers load routes daily through cradle or wireless connection;
3. Route Order information and customer information can be checked, added and modified on the road;
4. Driver can do "Catch Up" to load changed or revised orders or order items wirelessly;
5. Driver can create new order for new stops, or add new order items to existing order, using customer prices;
6. Customer signature is captured, and sent to corporate for invoicing after delivery, including payment information;
7. Customer invoice is generated and printed on site using standard Infrared printing or portable printer;
8. Route deliveries can be synchronized to ResQ through wireless connection or through cradle connection.
9. Expresso is seamlessly integrated with Enterprise Information System ResQ.

Its purpose is to provide critical part number and customer information for sales people in locations where computer access is limited. This solution is designed as an extension of laptops or desktops with Quantum Controlª installed.

Judge's Comments: Very easy to navigate through a great amount of information.

KKD demo suite by mizuno-ami
There is a shop named 'Kaeruya Kerorin Dou' in Yanaka, Tokyo. Japanese artist, Mr.Miura is keeping this shop. I sent three programs. They are the shop decoration programs 'KKD demo suite' for this shop. I consider the originality of these programs ,so I sent not these programs but screen shots. Palm machines is PDA, but I think my suggestion is the new use for them. I'm happy if you felt interested in them.

Judge's Comments: A great suggestion of new way of using Palm. Palm in this way becomes an interactive sales device.

Judge's Comments: The combination of graphic, phrase and sound helps you memorize Morse Code letters easily. The nice screen layout and well executed detail make the software complete.

PedBase contains descriptions of over 550 childhood illnesses and has been on the Internet since November 15, 1995 (http://www.icondata.com/health/pedbase/index.htm). Information on each disorder in this database has been obtained from at least 3 sources including Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics (14th and 15th editions), the Birth Defects Encyclopedia (1990 and 1994 editions) and from at least one other source (journal articles, review articles, textbooks).

Judge's Comments: Super fast data lookup. A complehensive database for parents as well as doctors.
