The Japanese category was added last year as NS Basic/Palm became very popular in Japan. In this contest, the overall level has gone up substantially since last year. We see that authors gave careful consideration to intuitiveness and ease of use, as well as use of graphics and real estate. Even though they are all freewares, many of them certainly have commercial quality.
